{"id":549881,"date":"2026-03-20T22:11:18","date_gmt":"2026-03-20T22:11:18","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/549881\/"},"modified":"2026-03-20T22:11:18","modified_gmt":"2026-03-20T22:11:18","slug":"2-people-assaulted-pushed-off-go-train-toronto-police","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/549881\/","title":{"rendered":"2 people assaulted, pushed off GO train: Toronto police"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"c-paragraph\">Three teenage boys have been charged following an assault and robbery on a GO train on Monday.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.tps.ca\/media-centre\/news-releases\/65489\/\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.tps.ca\/media-centre\/news-releases\/65489\/\">Toronto police<\/a> said two victims hopped on a westbound Lakeshore East train and later noticed three boys wearing ski masks.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">The teens started following the victims, prompting the victims to move to another train car, police said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">However, the boys continued to follow the victims.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">Police said one victim locked themselves in a bathroom to get away from the suspects.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">When the train was arriving at Rouge Hill station, the victim got out of the bathroom. That\u2019s when the boys assaulted the two victims, police said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">The suspects allegedly stole some of the victims\u2019 belongings before pushing them off the train onto the platform.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">Police said one victim was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">In a news release on Friday, police said they arrested the suspects: two 14-year-olds and one 16-year-old.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">All of them are facing charges of aggravated assault, two counts each of robbery with intent and disguise with intent.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">The suspects cannot be identified under the provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">Police are looking for additional witnesses who may have recorded the event on their phone to come forward.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Three teenage boys have been charged following an assault and robbery on a GO train on Monday.
