Some might be eligible for major open surgery; for others, there has been no surgical option at all. That changed with the acquisition of a donor-funded surgical robot. With the robot, these patients are getting the surgical care they need and going home with minimal pain, sometimes just hours after surgery. For these patients, robotic surgery is a gamechanger.
