Nigerian music icon Tiwa Savage, in a heartfelt interview with Zeze Mills on Friday, revealed that her only experience of true love has been with her son, Jamil.\n<\/p>\n
The 45-year-old singer reflected on her past relationships, concluding that what she once thought was love was merely infatuation.\n<\/p>\n
\u201cI\u2019ve never felt true love except with my son. Looking back at my relationships, even my marriage, I realise it wasn\u2019t love,\u201d she shared.\n<\/p>\n
Savage expressed uncertainty about whether romantic love is destined for her.<\/p>\n
\u201cI\u2019ve tried repeatedly, so maybe love isn\u2019t meant for me in this lifetime,\u201d she said.\n<\/p>\n
Savage, who has been open about her romantic struggles in the past, however, questioned whether love was ever meant for her. <\/p>\n
\u201cMaybe love isn\u2019t for me because I have tried over and over again, so maybe love isn\u2019t for me this lifetime,\u201d she added.<\/p>\n
In December last year, the songstress\u00a0opened up about her divorce from Tunji \u2018TeeBillz\u2018 Balogun, her ex-husband.\n<\/p>\n
The duo, who married in 2013, divorced\u00a0in 2018 after efforts to resolve the differences in their marriage proved abortive.\n<\/p>\n
The \u2018Kele Kele\u2019 hitmaker had claimed her ex-husband was responsible for the divorce. She said at the time, she was struggling with postpartum depression after giving birth to their son.\n<\/p>\n
The singer said she faced intense criticism from the public, with many attacking her without giving her a chance to share her side of the story.\n<\/p>\n
