A serious safety concern halted play on Copperhead\u2019s 15th hole Saturday.<\/p>\n

On-course reporter and PGA Tour winner Smylie Kaufman was following the pairing of Brooks Koepka and Danny Walker when a girl was struck by a golf cart and pinned underneath it. Kaufman said the girl was checked out by medical staff at the Valspar Championship and no injuries were reported.<\/p>\n

\u201cBrooks Koepka went underneath the ropes to talk to the girl and comfort her,\u201d Kaufman said during the third round coverage on NBC<\/a>. <\/p>\n

\u201cShe\u2019s going to be OK after medical evaluation,\u201d Kaufman reported when the coverage returned to No. 15. \u201cVery scary moment … I am sure Brooks Koepka\u2019s head is still spinning a little bit.\u201d <\/p>\n<\/p>\n

The vehicle was reportedly carrying fans around the course when the incident happened.<\/p>\n

Koepka went on to par the hole but double bogeyed on the 16th. <\/p>\n

\u201cShe\u2019s OK, thankfully, so that\u2019s all that matters,\u201d Koepka told reporters. \u201cI know she\u2019s probably a little scared, and I just felt for her at the time.\u201d <\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s unfortunate, it shouldn\u2019t have happened,\u201d he added. \u201cBut as long as she\u2019s OK \u2014 and nothing crazy happened to her, then it will be OK.\u201d <\/p>\n

Koepka finished with even-par 71 on the round and sits T-11 on the tournament<\/a>.
