Jeremy Clarkson<\/a> admitted he had been left in tears when his choir received the golden buzzer on ITV competition Britain\u2019s Got Talent<\/a>. The Hawkstone Choir appeared on the programme during last night\u2019s episode (March 21), receiving a standing ovation from the audience and causing judge Amanda Holden<\/a> to reach over to slam the golden buzzer, sending them through automatically.<\/p>\n

In a new video posted to social media, Jeremy was clearly emotional as he said: \u201cHello everybody. I watched Britain\u2019s Got Talent tonight for the first time, because the Hawkstone Choir were on. They were just fantastic. These guys are all farmers, and they work incredibly hard for really incredibly small rewards.<\/p>\n

\u201cTo see them all on that stage with all that love in the room made my heart sing. I actually welled up. And thank you Amanda Holden<\/a> for pressing that golden buzzer thing, I don\u2019t know what that means but it obviously is important.\u201d<\/p>\n

Taking a deep breath, the Clarkson\u2019s Farm star continued: \u201cYeah. Yeah, it shows that, I think, people quite like farmers. They were very, very good. Well done, all of you<\/a> \u2013 I\u2019m a very happy man tonight. That choir is fab. Yeah, sorry, that\u2019s it.\u201d<\/p>\n

He also shared a clip of the performance on Instagram<\/a>, writing: \u201cThey did it!!! They actually did it. Fantastic. I\u2019m overwhelmed. Well done all of you. You were brilliant.\u201d<\/p>\n

The choir performed Elbow hit One Day Like This in their audition, giving Jeremy a shout-out before they began singing.<\/p>\n

The choir is aged between 27 and 74, with the spokesperson explaining: \u201cThis isn\u2019t our day jobs; we\u2019re usually out in the fields!<\/p>\n

\u201cWe work by ourselves day in and day out, sometimes 16, 17 hours a day. This has brought us together.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019re not singers by nature. It\u2019s brought us as a family \u2013 we have one thing that unites us and that is farming. We love what we do but it can be incredibly hard: really lonely, very isolating.
