Calgary police are asking the public for information after a dangerous driving incident and roadside altercation late last month.<\/p>\n
Investigators say the incident began around 11:30 a.m. on Feb. 24, when a silver 2013 Chrysler 200 was seen travelling north on Highway 2A\/Macleod Trail from Okotoks into Calgary. <\/p>\n
The vehicle, driven by a man with a woman as a passenger, was reportedly moving erratically and at extremely high speeds.<\/p>\n
About 20 minutes later, police received reports of a man and woman arguing outside the same vehicle on the shoulder of northbound Macleod Trail near Stoney Trail. Several motorists stopped to help and called police, but the pair left the scene before officers arrived.<\/p>\n
Police later went to the home of the vehicle\u2019s registered owner. A 23\u2011year\u2011old man was taken into custody and charged with one count of dangerous operation of a motor vehicle and one count of uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm. <\/p>\n
Because the incident is believed to be domestic in nature, police are not identifying the accused to protect the identity of the victim.<\/p>\n
Investigators are seeking dashcam footage or witness accounts from anyone who was travelling northbound on Highway 2A\/Macleod Trail between Okotoks and Calgary between 11:30 and 11:50 a.m. on Feb. 24, particularly near Stoney Trail.<\/p>\n
