Soccer star Jorginho has hit out against pop star<\/a> Chappell Roan, claiming the artist sent her security team after his daughter, who had walked across the artist\u2019s table and recognised her. <\/p>\n

The Flamingo\u2019s player would share a lengthy statement on his Instagram Story<\/a> earlier today (March 22), calling out the \u2018HOT TO GO!\u2019 singer. <\/p>\n

\u201cI went through a very upsetting situation with my family earlier today. My wife [Catherine Harding], is in S\u00e3o Paulo for Lollapalooza <\/a>Brasil. This morning, my daughter woke up incredibly excited. She even made a sign because she was so happy to see an artist she really admires, or used to admire,\u201d Jorginho wrote on social media, referring to Roan, who is expected to perform at the music festival in S\u00e3o Paulo today. <\/p>\n

\u201cBy coincidence, they\u2019re staying at the same hotel as this artist. During breakfast, the artist walked past their table. My daughter, like any child, recognised her, got excited, and just wanted to make sure it was really her,\u201d Jorginho shared.<\/p>\n

\u201cAnd the worst part is she didn\u2019t even approach her,\u201d he continued. \u201cShe simply walked past the singer\u2019s table, looked to confirm it was her, smiled, and went back to sit with her mum. She didn\u2019t say anything, didn\u2019t ask for anything.\u201d<\/p>\n

Jorginho would then allege that after his daughter walked by Roan\u2019s table, \u201ca large security guard came over to their table while they were still having breakfast and began speaking in an extremely aggressive manner to both my wife and my daughter, saying that she shouldn\u2019t allow my daughter to \u2018disrespect\u2019 or \u2018harass\u2019 other people.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cHonestly, I don\u2019t know at what point simply walking past a table and looking to see if someone is there can be considered harassment,\u201d the soccer pro continued, alleging that the security guard\u00a0\u201ceven said he would file a complaint against them with the hotel, while my 11-year-old daughter was sitting there in tears.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cMy daughter was extremely shaken and cried a lot,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n

Jorginho would go on to say that while he understands the struggles of being in the spotlight, he condemns how Roan\u2019s security team enforced her boundaries. <\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019ve lived with football, public exposure, and well-known people for many years, and I understand very well what respect and boundaries are. What happened there was not that. It was just a child admiring someone,\u201d he wrote of his daughter.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s sad to see this kind of treatment coming from those who should understand the importance of fans. At the end of the day, they are the ones who build all of this,\u201d the athlete continued. \u201cI sincerely hope this serves as a moment of reflection. No one should have to go through this, especially not a child.\u201d<\/p>\n

Jorginho would then end his post by tagging Roan and writing: \u201cWITHOUT YOUR FANS, YOU WOULD BE NOTHING. AND TO THE FANS, SHE DOES NOT DESERVE YOUR AFFECTION.\u201d <\/p>\n

Roan has long advocated for setting boundaries between herself and her fans<\/a> and has had multiple incidents in which she has called out photographers. Last month, the singer would call out a group of paparazzi and fans who had camped out at a restaurant she was dining at, claiming they were \u201charassing her\u201d. <\/p>\n

Roan has not issued a statement about the incident yet. <\/p>\n
