Jeremy Clarkson<\/a> did a thing, and that thing is the Hawkstone Farmers Choir.<\/p>\n“Jeremy brought us together to sing, and it’s just really been amazing for us all.”<\/p>\n
She continued: “Every single one of us is in agriculture in some way or another. This isn’t our day job, we’re usually out in the fields.”<\/p>\n
She stated: “We work by ourselves, day in, day out, sometimes 16, 17 hours a day, and this has brought us together.<\/p>\n

“We’re not singers by nature \u2013 some of us are much better than others \u2013 but it’s brought us as a family, we’ve got one thing that unites us, and that is farming.<\/p>\n
“We love what we do, but it can be incredibly hard, really lonely, very isolating, so to do this all together, it’s meant the world to us.”<\/p>\n
The choir had the audience on their feet with their rendition of Elbow’s One Day Like This, with the judges equally as impressed.<\/p>\n
A tearful Amanda was so impressed, in fact, that she jumped towards her Golden Buzzer, sending them straight through to the live semi-finals.<\/p>\n

She added: “As soon as you started, I completely welled up. I felt so much power. I love the whole community. I love how you’ve all got together, and you work your a***s off.<\/p>\n
“You work so hard every single day. You absolutely smashed it, and I can’t wait to see what you’re gonna do in the semi-finals, congratulations!”<\/p>\n
Viewers were stunned, with one writing: “The backbone of Britain,” while another said: “Best thing you can do to support them is back British Farming. 10\/10 performance.”<\/p>\n
Someone else wrote: “That golden buzzer was so well deserved,” as another said: “Not gonna lie, this made my day.”<\/p>\n
Another added: “Wow!!! Was totally blown away by this GOLDEN performance! Also, Farmers deserve soo much more in return for their hard work! Hope this amazing choir wins BGT!”<\/p>\n

Someone else said: “You were all fantastic and it was so emotional, loved it!”<\/p>\n
Clarkson had earlier shared his pride for the choir, telling The Sun: “When I had the idea for this choir, I worried it would come to nothing more than me, Kaleb and two cows honking tunelessly through Kumbaya.<\/p>\n
“I never imagined it would actually become a glorious gathering of brilliant people and beautiful voices representing the beating heart of rural Britain.”<\/p>\n

He later took to Instagram<\/a> to admit the audition left him in tears, saying: “Hello everybody. I watched Britain’s Got Talent tonight for the first time, because the Hawkstone Choir were on. They were just fantastic. These guys are all farmers, and they work incredibly hard for really incredibly small rewards.<\/p>\n“To see them all on that stage with all that love in the room made my heart sing. I actually welled up. And thank you Amanda Holden for pressing that golden buzzer thing, I don’t know what that means but it obviously is important.”<\/p>\n
He continued: “Yeah. Yeah, it shows that, I think, people quite like farmers. They were very, very good. Well done, all of you \u2013 I’m a very happy man tonight. That choir is fab. Yeah, sorry, that’s it.”<\/p>\n
