\n\tStephen Colbert<\/a> isn\u2019t shying away from making jokes about CBS<\/a>\u2018 recent cancellation of \u201cThe Late Show\u201d \u2014 in fact, he\u2019s looking for offers from other networks on air.<\/p>\n

\n\tOn Thursday, during his final \u201cLate Show\u201d taping before a summer hiatus, Colbert referenced a Daily Beast story<\/a> about vice president JD Vance ordering that an Ohio river\u2019s water level be raised for a boat trip he took for his birthday recently.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cThis is such an insane, spoiled-baby emperor move that I have no choice but to break out my new character: Wittle Pwince Vance,\u201d Colbert said, using a baby voice and taking out a mask of Vance\u2019s face wearing a crown. \u201cHear ye, hear ye, hear ye! I want my wiver waised for my birthday! Also, I don\u2019t like how bwue the sky is \u2014 paint it wed! Now, give me juice box.\u201d When a staffer handed Colbert a juice box, he whined, \u201cNot fwuit juice \u2014 apple! Kill him! Kill him!\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tThen, Colbert took off the mask and said, \u201cNetflix<\/a>, call me. I\u2019m available in June\u201d \u2014 because \u201cThe Late Show\u201d will air its final episodes in May 2026. After continuing to discuss the Vance story and pulling out the mask again, he added, \u201cI will also entertain offers from Amazon.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tEarlier in his monologue, Colbert took on Donald Trump\u2019s recent criticisms of him and his fellow late night hosts. News of the \u201cLate Show\u201d cancellation came shortly after Paramount, CBS\u2019 paramount company, agreed to a $16 million settlement with the president following a legal dispute about \u201c60 Minutes.\u201d Though Paramount has said that the end of Colbert\u2019s show was a financial decision unrelated to Colbert\u2019s criticisms of Trump and the settlement, many have voiced concern that the cancellation could have been political in nature, leading to weeks of fiery comments from journalists, Hollywood labor unions<\/a> and Trump himself<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\n\tOn Thursday, Colbert showed a clip of Trump in the Oval Office saying, \u201cColbert has no talent. [Jimmy] Fallon has no talent. [Jimmy] Kimmel has no talent. They\u2019re next. They\u2019re gonna be going. I hear they\u2019re going to be going. I don\u2019t know, but I would imagine, because Colbert has better ratings than Kimmel or Fallon, you know that?\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cI knew that, yeah, I knew that,\u201d Colbert said as the live audience began to cheer his name. \u201cBut to be fair, I think we\u2019re all equally untalented. Anyway, I just want to say thank you for watching, sir, and thank you for agreeing to be in our new promo.\u201d He then rolled a clip of a fake \u201cLate Show\u201d ad that said, \u201cColbert is No. 1 in late night. Just ask our elderly viewers,\u201d before returning to the Trump clip about ratings. The ad ended with a graphic of the show covered in a \u201cStill Canceled!\u201d stamp.<\/p>\n
