{"id":554349,"date":"2026-03-23T01:34:11","date_gmt":"2026-03-23T01:34:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/554349\/"},"modified":"2026-03-23T01:34:11","modified_gmt":"2026-03-23T01:34:11","slug":"samuel-fagemo-expected-to-sign-in-shl-pro-hockey-rumors","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/554349\/","title":{"rendered":"Samuel Fagemo Expected To Sign In SHL \u2013 Pro Hockey Rumors"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The 2025-26 campaign is expected to be the last for forward <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hockey-reference.com\/players\/f\/fagemsa01.html?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=www.prohockeyrumors.com&amp;utm_campaign=2026-03-22_hr\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Samuel Fagemo<\/a> in North America, for at least one year. <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/hockeysverige.se\/shl\/uppgifter-dromatervandaren-samuel-fagemo-klar-for-frolunda\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">According to a report from Sweden<\/a>, the former second-round pick is expected to join the SHL\u2019s Fr\u00f6lunda HC next year.<\/p>\n<p>Fr\u00f6lunda has tried to poach Fagemo from the North American circuit for some time. The 26-year-old originally came up through Fr\u00f6lunda\u2019s program in his youth, and last played for them during the 2019-20 season, scoring 13 goals and 22 points in 42 games with a -2 rating.<\/p>\n<p>Since then, he\u2019s played for the Los Angeles Kings, Nashville Predators, and Winnipeg Jets organizations. Originally drafted by Los Angeles in the 2019 NHL Draft, that\u2019s where Fagemo has spent much of his professional career in North America.<\/p>\n<p>Unfortunately, despite being a particularly reliable scorer at the AHL level, he hasn\u2019t earned many opportunities in the NHL. Despite playing in North America for the last six years, Fagemo\u2019s NHL career scoring line stands at three goals and four points in 21 games, averaging 9:29 of ice time per game.<\/p>\n<p>Still, as mentioned, he\u2019s been an effective offensive player in the AHL, which is generally regarded as a better league on the international stage than the SHL. Across six years, playing for the Ontario Reign, Milwaukee Admirals, and Manitoba Moose, Fagemo has scored 148 goals and 232 points in 326 games with a -24 rating. He topped out with a 43-goal performance in 50 games during the 2023-24 season with the Reign, earning Second All-Star Team honors.<\/p>\n<p>Currently in the postseason, there\u2019s no question Fr\u00f6lunda could use additional offense. Despite finishing the regular season as the league\u2019s second-best team, Fr\u00f6lunda didn\u2019t have a single player in the top 10 in scoring.
