Surrey show for controversial comedian Kathy Griffin this fall<\/p>\n

Controversial American comedian Kathy Griffin will perform in Surrey this fall in a show presented by Outback Presents.<\/p>\n

Nov. 8 is the date for her \u201cNew Face, New Tour\u201d show at Bell Performing Arts Centre, the 1,000-seat theatre at Sullivan Heights Secondary. Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday, March 27 on kathygriffin.net<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The website describes Griffin as \u201ca towering figure on television, on tour and in publishing. She breaks through the entertainment clutter with her universally recognized brand of pull-no-punches comedy.\u201d<\/p>\n

She\u2019s been in hot water a few times, including in 2017 when she posted an Instagram photo of what looked like Donald Trump\u2019s bloodied, decapitated head. In 2022 Griffin was suspended from Twitter for impersonating website owner Elon Musk, urging followers to vote Democrat.<\/p>\n

She\u2019s probably best known for her Bravo series, Kathy Griffin: My Life on the D-List, which aired for six years, starring on NBC\u2019s Suddenly Susan and guest appearances on Seinfeld, Law & Order: SVU, Glee and Curb Your Enthusiasm.<\/p>\n

A two-time Emmy and Grammy award-winning comedian, Griffin, 65, is said to be a Guinness world record holder for writing and starring in 20 televised stand-up specials, more than any comedian in history.<\/p>\n

Her memoir, Official Book Club Selection: A Memoir According to Kathy Griffin, was #1 on the New York Times\u2019 list of bestsellers. <\/p>\n
