{"id":556033,"date":"2026-03-23T20:52:08","date_gmt":"2026-03-23T20:52:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/556033\/"},"modified":"2026-03-23T20:52:08","modified_gmt":"2026-03-23T20:52:08","slug":"seattle-kraken-assume-majority-ownership-of-climate-pledge-arena","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/556033\/","title":{"rendered":"Seattle Kraken assume majority ownership of Climate Pledge Arena"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"c-paragraph\">SEATTLE (AP) \u2014 The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tsn.ca\/nhl\/team-page\/seattle-kraken\/55\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.tsn.ca\/nhl\/team-page\/seattle-kraken\/55\" target=\"_blank\">Seattle Kraken<\/a> ownership group, led by Samantha Holloway, announced the creation of One Roof Sports and Entertainment on Monday. <\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">One Roof Sports and Entertainment will serve as the umbrella brand of the organization to \u201coversee a growing portfolio of properties and fuel new opportunities.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">Holloway also announced the group has entered an agreement to purchase additional equity in Climate Pledge Arena from Oak View Group, and will make the organization the majority owner of the building. OVG will retain a minority stake. <\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">\u201cWe\u2019re committed to this community, and this parent brand brings together everything we\u2019ve done, from a privately financed arena to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tsn.ca\/nhl\/team-page\/seattle-kraken\/55\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.tsn.ca\/nhl\/team-page\/seattle-kraken\/55\" target=\"_blank\">Seattle Kraken<\/a>,\u201d Holloway said in a statement. \u201cIncreasing our ownership in Climate Pledge Arena allows us to consolidate operations and sets us up for future opportunities. OVG is an amazing partner, and I am pleased that they will continue to operate the facility for many years to come.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">The transition of ownership of Climate Pledge Arena has been in the works for several months.
