In a bonehead maneuver, some of the trash the litterbug offloaded onto the field included their home address.<\/p>\n Article content<\/p>\n Article content<\/p>\n A clip from last spring, to be sure, Snyder told the Sun, but it\u2019s a useful lesson for those who would pollute the soil during the upcoming planting season. Snyder adds his lousy mood at the time prompted him to do the neighbourly thing and kindly return the waste to the owner\u2019s nearby home.<\/p>\n \u201cWe started working pretty early that morning, like 3, 4 in the morning and we came across one of the farms,\u201d Snyder said. \u201cI was just going by and we had planted a crop and you like going by and seeing the corn popping up in rows and you\u2019re proud of the crop and we\u2019ve had problems with people dumping stuff in this driveway before and I was just driving by and saw all the garbage.\u201d<\/p>\n Your Midday Sun<\/p>\n Thanks for signing up!<\/p>\n Article content<\/p>\n Advertisement 3<\/p>\n This advertisement has not loaded yet, but your article continues below.<\/p>\n Article content<\/p>\n After discovering the pile of junk, Snyder hopped in his John Deere tractor with a scoop and headed to the return address.<\/p>\n \u201cSo I thought, \u2018F\u2014.\u2019 I didn\u2019t really want to go in to clean it up,\u201d Snyder says. \u201cI was p\u2014ed off and I was looking at the box and the envelopes. There were so many with the same address on them. Then I just googled the address and it said it was just eight minutes away, and eight minutes by tractor is like 40 km\/h so it usually takes you twice as long, so 16 minutes away. I thought, \u201cF\u2014 it. I\u2019ll go down and may as well f\u2014in\u2019 return it.\u201d<\/p>\n \u2018Not all heroes wear capes\u2019<\/p>\n \u201cI have some stuff of hers,\u201d Snyder tells the person answering the door in the Instagram clip. \u201cDo you want it dumped in the driveway, or where would you like it dumped? Your name was on the box and everything and it was dumped in my field. Although Snyder says his team has handled bigger litter loads such as asphalt, shingles and more.<\/p>\n \u201cIt\u2019s a bit of a joke now because everybody finds garbage: the guys that work for us, my sons and that, they ask, \u2018Are we taking this stuff back?’\u201d he said. \u201cTo be honest with you I get too worked up over that stuff so I try to not get so excited.\u201d<\/p>\n Don\u2019t dump<\/p>\n Illegal dumping is taken pretty seriously in Ontario, with fines topping more than $100,000 in some municipalities<\/a>.
