Hollyoaks has confirmed that Donny Clark and Misbah Maalik will get engaged<\/a> again next week, signalling a fresh start for the happy couple. But as the pair celebrate their official romantic reunion, there are several new twists to come that could suggest trouble in paradise already\u2026<\/p>\n

Donny and Misbah first got engaged in September 2024, but their relationship fell apart late last year. In October, Donny was raped by Sully<\/a> in harrowing scenes and has struggled to come to terms with his ordeal.<\/p>\n

As he kept this trauma to himself for months, Donny spiralled out of control<\/a> and he kept a host of secrets from Misbah, who eventually had enough and called off their engagement.<\/p>\n

However, Donny recently found the courage to open up<\/a> to his loved ones about his rape and Misbah has stood by his side, finally understanding the reason for his out of character behaviour.<\/p>\n

Next week, things are looking up for Misbah and Donny as they look to move forward together \u2013 but things take a turn when they bump into Dodger in the market\u2026<\/p>\n

“Dodger is keen to ask Donny if he has made a decision about returning to work in the police force,” says our Hollyoaks insider. “Misbah is really hurt, as she didn\u2019t know anything about this dilemma. She is desperate to make things work with Donny, but him continuing to keep her in the dark about important things really won\u2019t help matters\u2026”<\/p>\n

Donny realises that he has messed up, so he devises a grand gesture to prove to Misbah that he loves her and is completely committed to their relationship. He puts on a suit, finds the ring that Misbah had previously taken off, and proposes to her again!<\/p>\n

Misbah is taken aback by this romantic surprise and happily accepts Donny\u2019s proposal. The couple are thrilled to be engaged once again and back on track in their relationship. <\/p>\n

However, their bubble of love is burst by a sudden knock on the door. Who has arrived, and are they bringing good or bad news to Donny and Misbah?<\/p>\n

This isn\u2019t the only threat to their rekindled relationship, as later in the week, Donny pays a visit to a former flame. Who does he go to see, and what could this mean for his future with Misbah?<\/p>\n
