ANNAPOLIS, Md. \u2013 Winning its last 10 matches, The Navy women’s tennis team (15-4, 2-0 PL) will look to continue the streak this week with a pair of tough contests, hosting Delaware (12-3, 1-2 CUSA) in a non-conference match Wednesday afternoon at the Fluegel-Moore Tennis Stadium before traveling to Patriot League foe Boston University (4-9, 2-0 PL) on Saturday afternoon at the Winchester Indoor Tennis Club in Winchester, Mass.

\nThe Midshipmen and Blue Hens are set for a 3:00 p.m. start outdoors in Annapolis on Wednesday, while the Mids will face off with the Terriers in a 4:00 p.m. match on Saturday.

\nLeading the team with a 23-6 singles record is freshman Nicole Fu<\/a>, while sophomore Emma Gu<\/a> ranks second on the team with a 21-9 singles record and junior Olivia Fermo<\/a> holds a 20-7 singles mark \u2026 Gu has a team-high 11-4 singles record this spring \u2026 Fermo and Fu have partnered to post a team-leading 15-9 doubles record \u2026 Junior Anna Jordaan<\/a> and sophomore Peyton Amspacher-Philemon<\/a> have notched a 9-2 doubles mark together, including a perfect 6-0 record as the No. 2 pairing \u2026 Overall, Fermo and Fu each have a team-best 16 doubles wins.

\nNavy’s 10-match winning streak marks the program’s longest since 2020, when the Mids put together an 11-match run from Feb. 8 to March 8 \u2026 The current stretch marks the sixth winning streak of 10-or-more matches in program history \u2026 Peyton Amspacher-Philemon<\/a> has won her last 12 singles matches, while fellow sophomore Grace Li<\/a> has eight-match singles win streaks \u2026 Philemon’s 12-match singles win streak is the longest in program history since Emily Tannenbaum’s<\/a> own 12-match winning streak last season (March 1-April 25) \u2026 Li’s run marks the second time this season she has won eight-straight singles contests.
