One person is in hospital following a pair of overnight fires in the city’s North End.\u00a0<\/p>\n
The first fire broke out just after 9:30 p.m. Monday in a\u00a0one-and-a-half-storey house in the 300 block of Magnus Avenue.<\/p>\n
Smoke was coming from the home when crews arrived. Firefighters fought the blaze from inside the home, declaring it under control just after 10 p.m.<\/p>\n
No one was home when the fire broke out, and no injuries were reported.<\/p>\n
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.<\/p>\n
Second Fire on Ross Avenue<\/p>\n
Later in the evening, just after 1 a.m. on Tuesday, a fire broke out in a shed behind a home in the 700 block of Ross Avenue.<\/p>\n
Smoke and flames were pouring out of the shed, and firefighters were able to quickly put out the fire.\u00a0<\/p>\n
One person was assessed at the scene and taken to hospital in unstable condition.<\/p>\n
Investigation Ongoing<\/p>\n
It’s believed the fire was accidental.\u00a0<\/p>\n
