The Saints hold the No. 8 pick and have a good chance to get better, but will need to be smart.<\/p>\n<p>While Chris Olave is a star, when healthy, injuries in his career have been an issue for more than just the Ohio State standout. The Saints don\u2019t have reliable options when he isn\u2019t on the field, and that\u2019s an issue.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Luke Easterling of Athlon Sports believes New Orleans will address that need with the No. 8 overall pick, projecting Ohio State star Carnell Tate to land with the Saints.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cChris Olave is one of the better receivers in the league when healthy, but he\u2019s struggled with injuries over the past two seasons, and the Saints don\u2019t have much depth behind him after trading away Rashid Shaheed last year.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAdding Tate would give New Orleans another complete pass-catcher with WR1 talent and potential, which would help ensure that Tyler Shough continues to develop into a quality starting quarterback,\u201d he <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/athlonsports.com\/nfl\/nfl-mock-draft-2026-predictions-nfl-free-agency-trades-latest-news\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">wrote<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The Rashid Shaheed point is very interesting and a smart way to look at this. While Shaheed had no place on the Saints due to how bad they were a year ago, New Orleans now finds itself in a position where it has to get better.<\/p>\n<p>The only issue here is using a top-10 pick on a wide receiver when there are many other problems on the roster.
