{"id":558146,"date":"2026-03-24T19:45:08","date_gmt":"2026-03-24T19:45:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/558146\/"},"modified":"2026-03-24T19:45:08","modified_gmt":"2026-03-24T19:45:08","slug":"one-of-canadas-most-wanted-fugitives-arrested-in-u-s-toronto-police","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/558146\/","title":{"rendered":"One of Canada\u2019s most wanted fugitives arrested in U.S.: Toronto police"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Toronto police say a man on their most wanted list was arrested in Mississippi and will return to Toronto to face 2024 murder charges in the death of Trevor Joh <\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">One of Canada\u2019s most wanted fugitives, who is accused of murder <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ctvnews.ca\/toronto\/article\/1-suspect-arrested-another-at-large-after-deadly-oakwood-village-shooting-police\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.ctvnews.ca\/toronto\/article\/1-suspect-arrested-another-at-large-after-deadly-oakwood-village-shooting-police\/\">in a double shooting in 2024<\/a>, has been arrested in the United States, Toronto police say.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">In a news release on Tuesday, police said Adrian Walker was taken into custody in Oxford, Miss., a day earlier.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" data-chromatic=\"ignore\" alt=\"\" class=\"c-image\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/6KRQOOPJIZA35C4Q72NHECVS6E.png\"  width=\"800\" height=\"450\"\/>Adrian Walker <\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">Walker was listed as Canada\u2019s 14th most wanted fugitive in a list compiled by the BOLO (Be On The Lookout) program earlier this year. <\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">He will be transported to Toronto, where he will be charged with first-degree murder and attempted murder in connection with a fatal shooting in the area of Winona Drive and Vaughan Road on the early morning of May 7, 2024.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">The shooting claimed the life of 31-year-old Trevor Dalton John.
