One person is in hospital following a pair of overnight fires in Winnipeg.<\/p>\n
Winnipeg Fire Paramedics Services responded to two separate fires Monday night, with the first being along Magnus Avenue and the second along Ross Avenue.<\/p>\n
Magnus Avenue fire<\/p>\n
WFPS says they responded to a report of a fire at a one-and-a-half storey house along Magnus Avenue near 9:37 p.m. on Mar. 23.<\/p>\n
When fire crews arrived, they could see smoke coming from the home and began to battle the blaze from inside the home. The fire was declared under control at 10:15 p.m.<\/p>\n
A search of the house found no one inside, and no injuries were reported.<\/p>\n
An investigation into the cause of the fire is underway.<\/p>\n
Ross Avenue fire<\/p>\n
WPFS also responded to a shed fire behind a home along Ross Avenue around 1:19 a.m. on Mar. 24.<\/p>\n
When crews arrived, they could see smoke and fire coming from the shed and were able to quickly bring the blaze under control.<\/p>\n
One person was assessed at the scene and was taken taken to hospital in unstable condition by paramedics.<\/p>\n
