Habitat for Humanity Vancouver Island North has found a new office to inhabit.<\/p>\n
On April 1, the organization will move its administrative office to a new space inside the newly-renovated Coastal Community Credit Union building on 291 4th St. in Courtenay.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe move brings Habitat\u2019s full administrative team together in one central location, helping the organization better serve communities across the North Island and the Comox Valley while supporting a growing portfolio of affordable home ownership projects,\u201d reads a press release from Habitat for Humanity Vancouver Island North.<\/p>\n
The release also cites that the new location makes it easier for partners, volunteers, and community members to connect with the organization due to its convenient location in downtown Courtenay. The release also makes note of the organization\u2019s close relationship with the Coastal Community Credit Union, which gave them a significant $100,000 donation to support Habitat for Humanity\u2019s affordable home ownership initiatives in the Comox Valley and Campbell River. Additionally, Coastal Community also provides banking services and financing support to build homes for Habitat.<\/p>\n
