Ahead of this week’s Ford Championship, the dynamic sister duo of Jessica and Nelly Korda spoke the media in a joint-presser to talk about the things they love (and hate) the most about each other’s game.<\/p>\n

Jess, who is five years older than the World No. 2 said, “I’m super jealous how she rotates to the ball right now. I think that’s something I strive for. I’m always watching videos like, I just need that.”<\/p>\n

And you know what…it’s really comforting to know that even Nelly’s big sister who is a six-time winner on the LPGA also wishes to have a little piece of her move, too.<\/p>\n

The 27-year-old is revered for having one of, if not the best swing in professional golf that so many fans look to emulate\u2014or at least they should. It’s just so effortless. Her timing, her tempo\u2014there isn’t any unnecessary fluff to it. It’s unbelievably efficient.<\/p>\n

But if you were to ask her how she perfected her motion, she gives all credit to Mr. David Whelan. In her Tuesday presser Korda said, “I wasn’t even sure what I was going to do with my life and then I met David. He rejuvenated my love for the game.”<\/p>\n

Whelan and Korda have been working with each other since she was just a teen, but over the last few years his instruction has really shaped her into the 16-time winner that she is. “This offseason I just had him at every single practice. Like every single time I stepped on the golf course at home, like he was there with me throughout the entire practice,” Korda continued to say.<\/p>\n

“I just loved having him there, the initial feedback of me not having to video my swing 200 times that day and knowing, okay, like what I’m doing is working and also like mentally he was just very sound. Made me really relaxed out there…We have so much history together and so much comfort there that I just love working with Dave.”<\/p>\n

Coming off a runner up finish last week at Founders Cup<\/a>, the World No. 2 is looking for another strong week with her built-in BFF by her side for the first time since 2023.<\/p>\n

“It’s the best honestly, [having Jess around] I said it before, but 2023 was like a very hard year for me when Jess [was injured]…So the rest of that year and 2024 was a very big adjustment for me being kind of by myself on Tour without Jess,” Nelly said.<\/p>\n

“So being in a house this week, having Greyson, our mom in the house has been a lot of fun. And Greyson [Jess’ son] is at such a fun age where there is always something to do and he’s just so much fun and laughing all the time.
