PHOENIX, Ariz. \u2014 The University of Hawai’i women’s golf team showed resilience during Tuesday’s second round of the PING ASU Invitational, shaving five strokes off their opening-round score. \nThe Rainbow Wahine remain in 15th place heading into the final day of competition. The highlight of the round for Hawai’i came from the steady play of Maline Kraus<\/a> and Jasmine Wong<\/a>. Kraus carded a 2-over 74, while Wong followed with a 3-over 75. Both players currently sit in a tie for 49th place with a two-round total of 149 (+5), providing a solid foundation for the UH lineup in a field featuring several top-ranked programs.

\nThe back half of the rotation also saw improved scoring compared to Monday’s opener. Emiko Sverduk<\/a> carded a 4-over 76 to bring her total to 155 (+11), placing her in a tie for 72nd. Kaydence Kim<\/a> and Sofina Firouzi<\/a> are tied for 83rd place at 159 (+15) after rounds of 79 and 78, respectively.

\nSouthern California continues to distance itself from the field, leading the team standings with a 24-under-par total of 552. The Trojans are led by Catherine Park, who took over the individual lead after firing a 6-under 66 on Tuesday. Park sits at 10-under-par (134) for the tournament and holds a four-stroke advantage over a two-way tie for second place that includes teammate Elise Lee and Arizona State’s Pimpisa Rubrong.
