The 6-foot-5 (196cm) American, boasting an 80-inch (203cm) reach, stunned Tszyu in 2024 to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxsports.com.au\/boxing\/boxing-2024-tim-tszyu-vs-sebastian-fundora-live-updates-blog-fight-start-time-in-australia-michael-zerafa-vs-erislandy-lara-how-to-watch-stream-full-fight-card-results\/news-story\/94473c4cb77b57781f27578ea74b85a0\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\" target=\"_blank\">claim a bloody split decision<\/a> \u2013 and the Sydneysider\u2019s world title.<\/p>\n<p>The pair met again in a blockbuster rematch over a year later, with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxsports.com.au\/boxing\/boxing-2025-tim-tszyu-loses-to-sebastian-fundora-social-media-reaction-will-aussie-star-continue-fighting\/news-story\/cf05b2f05aaa5f1bb2454b773c002a7a\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\" target=\"_blank\">Tszyu pulled out after seven punishing rounds<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Now, \u2018The Towering Inferno\u2019 faces a very different challenge.<\/p>\n<p>Thurman, a former unified welterweight champ and slightly shorter than Tszyu, is stepping back into boxing after years on the sidelines. <\/p>\n<p>Sebastian Fundora and Keith ThurmanSource: FOX SPORTS<\/p>\n<p>In his prime, \u2018One Time\u2019 was one of the most dangerous fighters around, with the boxing IQ, speed and power to beat the likes of Shawn Porter and Danny Garcia.<\/p>\n<p>But many questions remain over the 37-year-old\u2019s current form, with his last win coming against Aussie Brock Jarvis in Sydney in early 2025.<\/p>\n<p>The pair were originally booked to meet in October last year before Fundora\u2019s hand injury forced a delay.<\/p>\n<p>TSZYU\u2019S PREDICTION<\/p>\n<p>Tszyu believes Thurman has all the tools to cause problems in Sunday\u2019s showdown.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe\u2019s got the footwork,\u201d Tszyu told <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=soaTt2zBGV0&amp;t=81s\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\" target=\"_blank\">Fight Hub TV<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIf he leads him onto a certain punch, he\u2019s got the power\u2026 It\u2019s not like Fundora\u2019s head movement is strong.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe\u2019s just got this relentlessness about him and his head\u2019s in the same place.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>But in the end, \u2018The Phoenix\u2019 expects the towering southpaw to prove too much.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI think Fundora wins,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe thing with Fundora is that he\u2019s very tall and when he throws punches, it\u2019s like he throws down and it doesn\u2019t take much energy.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s not like his punches are physically hard, but they are very stingy. He\u2019s gonna see what an OG can do\u2026I\u2019ve got several more tangos left in me and that\u2019s what March 28 is all about. I\u2019m back in the spotlight and ready to showcase my talents.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhen he goes down, he\u2019s gonna realize what a legend is. He hasn\u2019t met one yet. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe knows what he needs to tell himself to get in the ring like it\u2019s just another day. I take it a little more seriously than that, and he\u2019s gonna find out that March 28 isn\u2019t just another day, it\u2019s Thurman\u2019s day.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Despite giving up significant height, Thurman insists he\u2019s prepared for the challenge \u2013 even adjusting the height of punching bags during camp to mimic Fundora\u2019s unique frame.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMy sparring partners definitely have the height and reach that\u2019s gotten me familiar with what I need,\u201d Thurman said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOf course I won\u2019t be facing the real Sebastian Fundora until I\u2019m in the ring, just like he won\u2019t be facing the real Keith Thurman until then.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m in there trading punches with heavyweights for this fight. My two sparring partners are giving both of Fundora\u2019s looks, the come-forward fighter or the back-foot jabber, and they\u2019ve got me prepared for whatever he brings on March 28.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Thurman also assured fight fans that this one won\u2019t be going the distance.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere\u2019s no 12-rounder here. He\u2019s just another opponent to me when it comes to the ring.
