A supermarket that specializes in Asian food is replacing a Walmart that vacated a Mississauga mall five years ago.<\/p>\n

FreshPro Foodmart is opening at 7333 Goreway Drive in Westwood Square Mall, Malton, tomorrow (March 26).<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are a trusted destination for premium groceries, offering an exceptional selection of fresh produce, seafood, meats, and specialty foods,\u201d according to FreshPro, which has existing stores in Richmond Hill and Brampton.<\/p>\n

With a focus on authentic Asian ingredients, FreshPro says the store will be dedicated to delivering high-quality products sourced from across the region to meet the diverse needs of customers.<\/p>\n

Specialty items from China, Japan, Korea and Vietnam can be found at the store.<\/p>\n

A company that has an eye towards rapid expansion, FreshPro has built a loyal customer base in the communities that it already serves, and it expects to do the same in Mississauga at Westwood Square.<\/p>\n

Opened in 1971 and originally known as Westwood Mall, the location has long been a community hub in Malton, but also serves shoppers in Brampton and Etobicoke and is located close to Pearson Airport and Woodbine Racetrack. It was expanded in 1975 and later underwent significant redevelopment in the early 2000s into a major South Asian shopping hub, featuring a unique retail-condo concept and a large indoor food court.<\/p>\n

FreshPro Foodmart will open its doors tomorrow at 9 a.m.<\/p>\n
