PHOENIX, Ariz. \u2014 The University of Hawai’i women’s golf team posted a final-round 306 (+18) on Wednesday to finish the PING ASU Invitational in 15th place with a three-day total of 917 (+53) competing against a field featuring several top-ranked programs at the Papago Golf Club. #HawaiiWGOLF<\/p>\n \u00a0

\nMaline Kraus<\/a> was the top finisher for the Rainbow Wahine, tying for 48th place with a 54-hole total of 224 (+8). Kraus showed consistency throughout the tournament, carding a 3-over 75 in the final round to go along with previous rounds of 75 and 74.

\nJasmine Wong<\/a> followed in a tie for 52nd place, finishing at 225 (+9) after turning in a 76 on Wednesday. Senior Kaydence Kim<\/a>, competing as an individual, provided a highlight in the final round by carding the team’s low score of the day with a 3-over 75, moving her into a tie for 75th at 234 (+18).

\nSouthern California took the team title with a 23-under total of 841, led by four players finishing inside the top 10. Individually, Davina Xanh of CSU Fullerton claimed medalist honors, firing a 4-under 68 in the final round to finish at 8-under-par (208).

\nThe rest of the Hawai’i lineup included Emiko Sverduk<\/a>, who finished 83rd at 237 (+21) and Sofina Firouzi<\/a>, who tied for 85th with a total of 239 (+23).

\nThe Rainbow Wahine will now turn their attention to the postseason as they prepare for the Big West Championship, April 19-21 at the Royal K\u0101’anapali Golf Course in Maui.
