The SPFL’s post-split fixture list is set to be crucial in the title battle<\/p>\n

Rangers are title favourites with Hearts<\/a> facing the possibility of playing before their title rivals in the post-split fixture run-in.<\/p>\n

That is according to Celtic <\/a>hero Peter Grant – who warned Martin O’Neill’s men that they no longer have any “wiggle room” if they are to defend their Premiership <\/a>crown. With just two games remaining before the league splits, <\/a>Derek McInnes’ men remain at the top of the pile.<\/p>\n

They hold a three point advantage over Rangers – but could fall to second before they have the chance to next kick a ball. The Light Blues face Dundee United on April 4, and a win would move them to the summit on goal difference before Hearts face Livingston the following day.<\/p>\n

The SPFL supercomputer could throw up a repeat when the fixture list is revealed for the final run-in – with broadcasters companies also set to have an input on the set dates. And Grant – who regularly works with the Hoops and their Celtic TV channel – expects the Jambos to face some “interesting” pressure as the season concludes.<\/p>\n

Grant said: \u201cI\u2019d rather be in Hearts position, but I just think Rangers for me [will win the title]. I just think Rangers have been able to handle the criticism, they have been able to handle the pressure as the season has went along.<\/p>\n

“Hearts, it\u2019s going to be interesting to see when Rangers play before them at any time and put on that little bit of extra pressure. People say it doesn\u2019t count, please believe me it counts. There is absolutely no doubt.<\/p>\n

Grant also conceded Celtic will have to win every game to keep the Premiership crown in Glasgow’s East End.<\/p>\n

He told the Go Radio Football Show:<\/a> “I don\u2019t think Celtic have any wiggle room now. Any wiggle room they had has gone for me. I think it\u2019s about focus and winning the next game.\u201d<\/p>\n
