He has signed\u00a0an amateur try-out contract with the American Hockey League&#8217;s Manitoba Moose for the remainder of the 2025-26 season.<\/p>\n<p>In 36 games with the\u00a0University of\u00a0St. Thomas this season, Wahlin has recorded 21 goals and 18 assists for 39 points.\u00a0His 21 goals lead both the Tommies and the CCHA.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Besides his point production, Wahlin is recognized as a leader, serving as captain since 2023-24. He has also been named\u00a0the 2025-26 CCHA Student-Athlete of the Year, CCHA Defensive Forward of the Year, and named to the All-CCHA First Team for the second consecutive season.<\/p>\n<p>In 137 career games, the\u00a0Woodbury, Minn. native has 131 points and 159 penalty minutes.<\/p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"The Winnipeg Jets announced they have signed forward\u00a0Lucas Wahlin\u00a0to\u00a0a\u00a0one-year, two-way contract on Wednesday.
