The Youngstown State men’s tennis team heads to Cleveland State on Friday night. The match at the Medical Mutual Tennis Pavilion is set for 6 p.m.<\/p>\n
The Penguins (11-3 overall, 2-0 Horizon League) picked up road wins at Northern Kentucky and IU Indy last weekend. The Vikings (11-9, 1-1) beat the Norse before dropping a 4-3 decision to the Jaguars.<\/p>\n
YSU last defeated the Vikings on April 22, 2023, as CSU has won the last four overall meetings. The Penguins’ most recent win in Cleveland was in April 2022.<\/p>\n
In singles, YSU went 11-1 last weekend and for the spring is 47-23. Gippet leads the way with 10 victories while Rafael Le Fur<\/a> has eight and Malo Vernejoul<\/a> has seven. YSU has nine wins at No. 3 and No. 4 singles and eight at No. 6 singles.<\/p>\n YSU is set to play five home matches in April prior to the Horizon League Championships, which are at the end of the month.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
