SEATTLE \u2013 No. 20 Washington women’s tennis hosts No. 60 Northwestern and No. 52 Illinois for a pair of matchups this weekend on Montlake.

\nFriday’s match is set to begin at 4 p.m. while Sunday’s is at noon. A live stream can be found on GoHuskies.com<\/a> and live scoring on HuskyStats.com<\/a>.

\nThe Huskies enter the weekend with an overall record of 13-1 with a 4-1 mark in Big Ten action.

\nHUSKIES FOR A CURE
\nOn Friday, the Huskies will be participating in the year-long Huskies for a Cure initiative. Washington women’s tennis will honor breast cancer survivors and wear ribbons to raise awareness for all cancers.

\nRECOGNIZING A HUSKY LEGEND
\nOn Sunday prior to the match vs. Illinois, we are honoring Trish Bostrom with a Legacy All-American banner that will be hung alongside our other All-Americans in the Nordstrom Tennis Center.

\nDAWGS GETTING IT DONE ON ALL COURTS
\nThrough the first 14 matches, Washington is a combined 78-15 across all courts in singles and doubles. UW is unbeaten in matches on Court 2 in singles action and Court 2 in doubles.

\nDOUBLE DAWGS
\nWashington has won all 13 of 14 doubles points to start the season. The UW duos are a combined 28-5 in doubles action.

\nHUSKIES IN THE ITA RANKINGS
\nWashington is No. 20 in the latest ITA Team Rankings that came out on March 24. Three Huskies are in the ITA singles rankings in No. 64 Reece Carter<\/a>, No. 70 Erika Matsuda<\/a> and No. 103 Marie Weissheim<\/a>. In the doubles rankings, Matsuda and Carina Syrtveit<\/a> re-enter the Top 80 at No. 46.

\nB1G PLAYER OF THE WEEK
\nErika Matsuda<\/a> earned Big Ten Player of the Week honors for the second time this season on March 11. Alongside doubles partner Carina Syrtveit<\/a>, the duo had a win against the 62nd-ranked doubles pair from Rutgers, 6-3, to clinch the doubles point. They also clinched the Maryland doubles point with a 6-3 win over the 23rd-ranked pair. Matsuda and Syrtveit are 10-1 on the No. 1 doubles court this season and 3-1 against ranked opponents.

\nIn singles, Matsuda clinched the match win over No. 49 Maryland on Sunday with a 6-2, 6-1 victory over the 89th-ranked singles player. She is 5-0 in singles this season on the No. 1 court and currently ranked 64th in the ITA singles rankings.

\nHOME SWEET HOME
\nUnder head coach Robin Stephenson<\/a>, the Huskies are 111-29 in Seattle since 2015. The Huskies have posted double-digit home wins in four of the last five season, combining for 57 victories over that time.

\nSCOUTING THE WILDCATS
\nNorthwestern enters the matchup with a 10-6 overall record and 3-2 in conference action. The Wildcats are ranked 60th in the latest ITA team ranking. Margot Phanthala is ranked 87th in the singles ranking with an overall record of 7-7 in the No. 1 spot. The doubles pair of Phanthala and Erica Jessel are the 27th-ranked team while Mika Dagan Fruchtman and Neena Feldman are ranked No. 81.

\nSCOUTING THE ILLINI
\nIllinois comes into the weekend with an 8-7 record and a 4-1 mark in Big Ten play. McKenna Schaegbauer is the 29th-ranked singles player with an overall record of 8-3 on the No. 1 court. The doubles pair of Alice Xu and Tess Bucher are the 90th-ranked team at the No. 1 spot.

\nThe Huskies head down to SoCal for Top 25 matchups against USC (April 3) and UCLA (April 5). Both matches are scheduled to begin at noon.
