\u201cI think that\u2019s kind of the vibe of the book, the feeling of the book\u2026things that have changed,\u201d Jackson said. \u201cKing Charles is doing things a little bit differently.\u201d <\/p>\n

His book, \u201cModern Majesty: The British Royal Family in a New Era,\u201d focuses on the current working royals. Modern Majesty \/ Chris Jackson<\/p>\n
Jackson believes the royal family is \u201cmore open\u201d with the public under Charles\u2019 reign.<\/p>\n
\u201cThey spend a very long time meeting members of the public and [taking] Selfies,\u201d he said, referencing the king and queen as well as Prince William and Kate Middleton. \u201cThat\u2019s not something we\u2019ve really seen before.\u201d <\/p>\n
Jackson said that the 77-year-old monarch has an \u201cincredible ability\u201d to connect with people. <\/p>\n
\u201cHe\u2019s always got a joke or, you know, something that\u2019s going to make the person he\u2019s talking to feel relaxed,\u201d Jackson shared.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think they do make themselves as accessible as possible,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n
Fortunately for Jackson, the royals care more about using the power of photography to create change rather than getting their good side. <\/p>\n
\u201cThey do very much just crack on with the job, and it\u2019s my job to kind of document and tell the story of whatever they\u2019re doing on the day,\u201d he said. \u201cYou don\u2019t really get that kind of feedback in photos. I mean, I think they understand the importance of photos and the power of photos.\u201d <\/p>\n

He continued, \u201cGenerally, I think if there is good coverage of something they are trying to make a difference in, they are probably positive about that. But I don\u2019t think it\u2019s really a vanity thing in terms of how they look in the pictures and that kind of side of it.\u201d <\/p>\n
For Jackson, the art lies in capturing the unpredictable moments of the royal family. <\/p>\n
\u201cI love that element of things.
