Starting on July 1, riders of Metro Vancouver\u2019s transit services will see a fare increase of five per cent across the system.<\/p>\n
The increase will see adult cash fares and contactless payment fares go up 10 to 25 cents, with a one-zone ticket costing $3.50, two-zone costing $5.10 and a three-zone ticket costing $6.70.<\/p>\n
For adult stored-value fares, there will be a slightly larger increase of 15 to 20 cents, costing riders $2.85 for one-zone fare to a three-zone fare costing $5.40.<\/p>\n
The increases to monthly transit passes will also increase by five per cent, ranging costs from $117.20 to $211.65.<\/p>\n
The West Coast Express will see a similar increase in fares. One-zone will cost $6.95 and a full five-zone trip running between Mission City station and Waterfront will costs $14.95.<\/p>\n
The increases are part of TransLink\u2019s 10-Year Investment Plan (2025-2034), which was approved by TransLink\u2019s board and the Mayors\u2019 Council. The plan\u2019s aim is to expand and improve transit services across Metro Vancouver.<\/p>\n
