Image: Sasha Silvala \/ Yle<\/p>\n<p class=\"aw-1gybjub aw-1p7kakr kEtdKx cEmitX yle__article__paragraph\">The SATS Group, which operates the Elixia gym chain in Finland, has announced that it was targeted in a data security breach on 14 March.<\/p>\n<p class=\"aw-1gybjub aw-1p7kakr kEtdKx cEmitX yle__article__paragraph\">The firm said it reported the incident to authorities and is investigating the situation with the help of cybersecurity experts.<\/p>\n<p class=\"aw-1gybjub aw-1p7kakr kEtdKx cEmitX yle__article__paragraph\">However, the situation was more extensive than initially thought, according to SATS.<\/p>\n<p class=\"aw-1gybjub aw-1p7kakr kEtdKx cEmitX yle__article__paragraph\">But at least so far, it said there are no indications that extensive data about its members was compromised.<\/p>\n<p class=\"aw-1gybjub aw-1p7kakr kEtdKx cEmitX yle__article__paragraph\">&#8220;To date there are no indications that the company&#8217;s membership system is part of the incident,&#8221; the company said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"aw-1gybjub aw-1p7kakr kEtdKx cEmitX yle__article__paragraph\">SATS Group owns a number of fitness chains, including SATS, Elixia, Fresh Fitness, SATS Yoga and Balance.<\/p>\n<p class=\"aw-1gybjub aw-1p7kakr kEtdKx cEmitX yle__article__paragraph\">SATS Group has more than 270 fitness centres across Finland, Norway, Sweden, and Denmark, according to the firm.
