The Calgary Flames have been a surprisingly good team since the trade deadline.<\/p>\n

Despite being major sellers and parting ways with three veterans in Rasmus Andersson, MacKenzie Weegar, and Nazem Kadri, the Flames \u2014 thanks in large part to a current four-game winning streak \u2014 have gone 6-4 since the deadline has passed.<\/p>\n

Even with the recent success, the three players mentioned above remain beloved by Flames fans, many of whom will continue to root them on from afar. Here\u2019s a look at how all three are faring to this point with their new teams.<\/p>\n

Rasmus Andersson<\/p>\n

Team: Vegas Golden Knights
\nStats since trade: 24 GP, 3 G, 5 A, 8 PTS<\/p>\n

It\u2019s taken Rasmus Andersson some time to get comfortable in his new surroundings. It\u2019s hard to fault him, as going from the Flames to the Vegas Golden Knights<\/a> in mid January marked the first time he\u2019s been traded in his career.<\/p>\n

After registering 10 goals and 30 points in 48 games with the Flames this season, Andersson\u2019s numbers have decreased with the Golden Knights. His ice time has also been cut by more than three minutes per game, though he\u2019s still averaging a lofty 21:07 with his new club.<\/p>\n

While Andersson hasn\u2019t been at his best, there are far bigger concerns in Vegas at the moment. They\u2019ve gone just 8-13-3 in the 24 games Andersson has suited up for, and will need to right the ship in a hurry if they hope to make the playoffs.<\/p>\n

MacKenzie Weegar<\/p>\n

Team: Utah Mammoth
\nStats since trade: 11 GP, 1 G, 2 A, 3 PTS<\/p>\n

Much like Andersson, it\u2019s been a rather slow start for MacKenzie Weegar since being traded<\/a>. That may be more of a reflection on his entire season as a whole, as he had really struggled with the Flames prior to being dealt.<\/p>\n

The good news for Weegar is that he owns a plus\/minus of +1 through his first 11 games with the Mammoth. That\u2019s a massive improvement for a player who sat at -35 on the season at the time he was dealt.<\/p>\n

Despite his struggles with the Flames this season, Weegar remained a fan favourite right until the end. Should the Mammoth get in the playoffs, which is quite likely at this point, many in Calgary will choose to root for them in order to cheer for Weegar once again.<\/p>\n

Nazem Kadri<\/p>\n

Team: Colorado Avalanche
\nStats since trade: 10 GP, 2 G, 4 A, 6 PTS<\/p>\n

Kadri has by no means set the world on fire since joining the Colorado Avalanche<\/a>, but he\u2019s fit in like a glove. That was always expected to be the case, given that he spent three seasons with the organization from 2019 to 2022.<\/p>\n

The 35-year-old vet has been centring the Avalanche\u2019s third line as of late, though still averaging nearly 20 minutes in ice time while doing so. He should continue to produce for the rest of the regular season, though it\u2019s the playoffs where his impact is really expected to be felt.<\/p>\n

Kadri helped lead the Avalanche to a Stanley Cup championship back in 2022, a run which saw him amass 15 points in 16 games. The Avs are strong favourites to win it all again this year, though plenty of that will rely on the play of their massive trade deadline acquisition.<\/p>\n
