Chief Administrative Officer Marlon Kallideen again topped the list for the second year in a row with a salary of $381,736.99 and $24,866.17 in taxable benefits, up from $346,625 in 2024.<\/p>\n

Ontario\u2019s sunshine list has been released for 2025, showing that the highest paid City of Brampton employee is making 8.4 times more than the average Brampton resident.<\/p>\n

The list is published annually by the province and names all public sector employees in the province who earned $100,000 or more in 2025.<\/p>\n

Chief Administrative Officer Marlon Kallideen again topped the list for the second year in a row with a salary of $381,736.99 and $24,866.17 in taxable benefits, up from $346,625 in 2024.<\/p>\n

Kallideen\u2019s salary was more than 8.4 times higher than the average in Brampton of $45,400, according to Statistics Canada data from 2021. That number drops to $40,920 for women, while the average income for men is $50,000.<\/p>\n

The second-highest salary paid to a City of Brampton employee last year was $334,579.53 for Commissioner of Corporate Support Services Alex Milojevic. The third-highest salary was $282,431.59 paid to Commissioner of Community Services William Boyes, who was previously Chief of Brampton Fire and Emergency Services.<\/p>\n

Milojevic and Boyes\u2019 salary both jumped last year from $263,338 in 2024 \u2013 a raise of $19,000 for Boyes and more than $71,000 for Milojevic, according to data on public sector salary tracker sunshineliststats.com<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Brampton Mayor Patrick Brown\u2019s salary last year was $154,248.94 with $20,046.27 in taxable benefits.<\/p>\n

In 2021 and 2022, sunshine lists showed it was former city employees who made the highest salaries in those years.<\/p>\n

Former Brampton chief administrative officer (CAO) Harry Schlange was at the top of the salary pyramid for 2021 ($288,366.60) despite not working for the City of Brampton for years<\/a>. Former CAO David Barrick was the highest earner in 2022 ($288,272), and was let go from the position in February of that same year<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Former Brampton Commissioner of Legislative Services was the highest-paid city employee in 2024, pulling in a $345,122.53 salary and $38,785.24 in taxable benefits. Current Commissioner of Legislative Services Laura Johnston\u2019s salary was $245,803.35 with $20,316.69 in 2025.<\/p>\n
