has been arrested following a rollover car accident in Jupiter Island, Fla., police said during a press conference on Friday.<\/p>\n

Woods was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of an unknown substance, according to police. Nobody was injured in the crash, Sheriff John Budensiek told reporters.<\/p>\n

The incident happened just after 2 p.m., not far from where\u00a0Woods\u00a0lives on Jupiter Island.<\/p>\n

Budensiek alleged Woods clipped the back of another driver\u2019s truck while attempting an overtake heading northbound on a narrow two-lane road. His vehicle then rolled onto its driver\u2019s side.<\/p>\n

Officers said they believe he was impaired on \u201csome kind\u201d of medication or drug, but was cleared for driving under the influence of alcohol. There were no drugs or medication found in his vehicle.<\/p>\n

Police described him as lethargic on the scene after crawling out of the passenger side of his Land Rover.<\/p>\n

Woods did a breathalyzer test on the scene, which came back negative, but he refused to give a urine sample.<\/p>\n

Authorities charged him with driving under the influence with property damage and refusal to submit to a lawful test, Budensiek said. Both charges are misdemeanours.<\/p>\n

The golfer was previously injured in a 2021 crash<\/a> in Rolling Hills Estates in Southern California.<\/p>\n

He was driving at twice the speed limit in a 45 mph (74 km\/h) zone when he lost control of his SUV and struck a tree, flipping the car onto its side.<\/p>\n

Woods seriously injured his right leg in that crash and underwent multiple surgeries.<\/p>\n

The golf star has played 11 tournaments since that 2021 crash, not finishing within 16 shots of the winner on any of the four occasions he completed 72 holes.<\/p>\n

He was also arrested on a DUI charge in 2017 when South Florida police found him asleep behind the wheel of his car that was parked awkwardly with damage to the driver\u2019s side. Woods said he had taken a bad mix of painkillers. He later pleaded guilty to reckless driving.<\/p>\n
