Reigning Olympic champ Alysa Liu got onstage at Thursday night\u2019s iHeartRadio Music Awards in Los Angeles to present Taylor Swift<\/a> with not one, but six awards.<\/p>\n

\u201cShe is the GOAT of music,\u201d Liu, who won gold in both the team figure skating event and the women\u2019s individual event in February, said<\/a> while announcing the awards. \u201cShe lent her voice and music by narrating the video introducing me and the other Blade Angels<\/a>. I gotta say, I think that\u2019s why we won.\u201d<\/p>\n

Swift took home Artist of the Year, Album of the Year, Pop Song of the Year, Best Lyrics, Best Music Video and Favorite Tour Style in one fell swoop. Earlier in the night, she nabbed Pop Album of the Year, bringing her haul for the evening to seven.<\/p>\n

\u201cI just wanna say, first of all, to receive this award from Alysa \u2014 you brought me so much happiness, and everyone else so much happiness, with your performances. And I was inspired by how much diligence and work and effort and love you have for what you do,\u201d Swift told Liu in her speech<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Liu, who retired from figure skating at 16 before making a return two years later, dazzled crowds at the 2026 Milan Cortina Games with her free skate to Donna Summer\u2019s \u201cMacArthur Park.\u201d The now-20-year-old was hailed as a refreshing change<\/a> for the sport thanks to her focus on individuality and having fun while competing. She, along with fellow skaters Amber Glenn and Isabeau Levito, made up the \u201cBlade Angels\u201d for Team USA.<\/p>\n

Swift referred to the trio as \u201cthree American showgirls on ice\u201d while narrating a hype reel for the athletes<\/a> ahead of the Games over her song \u201cOpalite.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cJoy fuels her now,\u201d Swift said of Liu in the video.<\/p>\n

\u201cI love being an artist. I love writing songs more than anything in the world,\u201d the singer said Thursday night.<\/p>\n

\u201cI didn\u2019t think I was an artist when I first started doing it. It was a hobby. It was a hobby and then it was my favorite hobby,\u201d she told the crowd, which included fianc\u00e9 Travis Kelce, before telling audience members to follow their passions without seeking outside approval.<\/p>\n
