Denise Richards\u2019 ex Aaron Phypers has been ordered to pay a California man accusing him of fraud $160,000 in a default judgement. <\/p>\n
A Los Angeles Superior Court judge ordered the reality star to make the payment to Rupert Perry on March 16 after he failed to respond to the lawsuit in court, according to court documents viewed by Page Six. <\/p>\n
A rep for Phypers did not immediately respond to Page Six\u2019s request for comment. <\/p>\n

Perry made several attempts to reach Phypers, 53, to make him aware of the pending suit over the last year. <\/p>\n
In 2025, the widower placed several ads in the Malibu Times on June 19, June 26, July 3 and July 10 letting him know that he was being sued in Los Angeles Superior Court and had 30 days to respond to the case filing, per Us Weekly<\/a>. <\/p>\n However, Phypers found himself embroiled in a heated divorce battle with his estranged wife, Denise Richards, around that time.<\/p>\n Rupert Perry, who filed the suit, attempted to notify Phypers (pictured above going into court on Nov. 7, 2025) of the lawsuit with several ads in the Malibu Times last summer. In the most recent update, Richards was ordered to pay her former husband $5,000 a month<\/a>, as well as $30,000 in attorney\u2019s fees to go toward their divorce proceedings. <\/p>\n He\u2019s also currently facing criminal charges \u2014 two felony counts of\u00a0injuring a spouse<\/a>\u00a0and two felony counts of\u00a0dissuading a witness by force or threat<\/a>.<\/p>\n Perry first filed a suit against Phypers in November 2024 for breach of oral contract and fraud by false promise over payments he and his late wife, Elina Katsioula-Beall, made to his now-defunct wellness center, Quantum 360 Club.<\/p>\n Phypers filed for divorce from Richards (both seen above in better spirits) in July 2025. Aaron Phypers\/Instagram<\/p>\n In the most recent update on their legal battle, Richards (pictured above with Phypers in an episode from her \u201cDenise Richards and the Wild Things\u201d) was ordered to pay her ex $5,000 a month in spousal support and $30,000 for his attorney fees. Entertainment<\/p>\n According to the legal docs, Perry claimed the couple paid Phypers $126,000 for stem-cell treatments in June 2023 in the hopes that it would help Katsioula- Beall \u2014 who had been diagnosed with sarcoma cancer in 2019 \u2014 heal her illness. <\/p>\n Perry alleged that Phypers told the couple that the treatment would \u201ccure or at least ameliorate\u201d her condition and \u201cwas so confident in it\u201d that he promised \u201cif it did not work, he would refund to Ms. Katsioula-Beall and Mr. Perry fifty percent of the money they to him for the treatment.\u201d<\/p>\n From July until September 2023, she received treatments. But by December, she learned that the hadn\u2019t worked and her tumors had grown 25 percent within the three months since ending her treatments. <\/p>\n Katsioula-Beall then allegedly reached out to Phypers to tell him about her results and asked for a 50 percent refund of $63,000. However, Perry claims her request was ignored on two different occasions. <\/p>\n Perry first filed a complaint against Phypers (pictured above going to court on Nov. 7) in November 2024, accusing him of breaching a verbal contract and fraud by false promise. Getty Images<\/p>\n In March 2024, Perry claimed Phypers agreed to refund Katsioula-Beall\u2019s money after he was reached by a third party. <\/p>\n Katsioula-Beall sent one final invoice requesting payment on March 29 \u201cas she was dying from cancer.\u201d But, her request was ignored once again.
