\n Delilah Lambert trains out of Laisterdyke Amateur Boxing Club, and under their banner, she became an England Boxing National Schools Champion in 2022 and 2024.\n<\/p>\n
\n But the teenager was not satisfied with just that, showing no fear once she moved up the ranks due to her age.\n<\/p>\n
\n In 2025, she became National Junior Champion in the Under 52kg category with a brilliant 5-0 win over Sky Barnetth, before repeating the trick last weekend in Kettering against Gracie Hubbard.\n<\/p>\n
\n Dad Dean Lambert also happens to coach his daughter, and he told the T&A: \u201cI\u2019m proud of Delilah for retaining her title.\n<\/p>\n

\n \u201cShe got a bad nosebleed last weekend and had to get it sorted, so I was worried about it being a problem for her in the fight, but she was good with it.\u201d\n<\/p>\n
\n Poor Hubbard was Lambert\u2019s opponent in both the 2022 and 2026 finals, but the Eccleshill talent has her own nemesis.\n<\/p>\n
\n She was beaten by Kara Young in the prestigious Golden Girl Box Cup back in January, while the Scottish teen also saw off Lambert on Finals Day at both the 2024 and 2025 GB Three Nations tournaments.\n<\/p>\n
\n The 15-year-old\u2019s dad said: \u201cDelilah\u2019s won the Box Cup before but this second one earlier in the year, she boxed and lost to the Scottish lass, who\u2019s a bit of a bogey woman for her.\n<\/p>\n
\n \u201cWe\u2019ve got to the Three Nations Finals Day this year and we\u2019ll be facing Kara again.\n<\/p>\n
\n \u201cListen, Delilah and I are going to keep going, because we have lost to her a few times, but we\u2019ve beaten her before and we feel like we can do it again.\u201d\n<\/p>\n
\n The use of \u201cwe\u201d makes sense, given Lambert dotes on his daughter as both her dad and her coach.\n<\/p>\n
\n Asked how he manages to separate having those two very distinct roles in her life, he said: \u201cTo tell you the truth, you\u2019re actually more disciplined with her as her dad, because you\u2019re allowed to.\n<\/p>\n
\n \u201cA lot of the time now, kids get away with a bit too much, but Delilah\u2019s good and she knows we have to be disciplined to win stuff.\n<\/p>\n
\n \u201cI think I can take elements of being Delilah\u2019s dad into being her coach, because you watch what they eat for example.\n<\/p>\n
\n \u201cIt\u2019s a dieting thing as well with boxing, you have to keep your food right instead of eating rubbish all the time.\u201d\n<\/p>\n
\n And Lambert will need to prepare right to take down Young in a couple of months.\n<\/p>\n
\n That marquee cross-border fight is actually part of the Four Nations Championship, with Boxing Ireland joining the tournament this year alongside England, Scotland and Wales.\n<\/p>\n
