The Vancouver Canucks took a tough 0-4 loss to the Los Angeles Kings on Thursday, making it their fourth straight loss. The Canucks now head on the road for the first time since a back-to-back on March 6th and March 7th, where they took on the Chicago Blackhawks and the Winnipeg Jets. They were able to squeak out of that road trip with three points, but now in a slump and taking on a division rival in the Calgary Flames, a different outcome may be in question.<\/p>\n
Calgary Flames News and Notes:<\/p>\n
The Calgary Flames aren\u2019t going down quietly and are still fighting for a wild card spot in the Western Conference. Going into Thursday\u2019s game against the Anaheim Ducks, the Flames were riding a four-game winning streak, and although they lost to the Ducks, they scratched out a point in a 2-3 overtime loss. The Flames have now gained nine points in the last two weeks, have surpassed the Chicago Blackhawks, and are only ten points out from a Playoff birth. It\u2019s a big mountain, but they\u2019re not going down without a fight.<\/p>\n

Although scoreless over the last two games, Marco Rossi has still been on a tear, scoring ten points in the last seven games. He has been a force to be reckoned with and a new leader for the rest of this new Vancouver Canucks locker room to look up to. Pierre-Olivier Joseph is officially back from injury as well, rounding out the defensive core for the Vancouver Canucks, and is still searching for his first points since coming back on Tuesday against the Ducks.<\/p>\n
Calgary Flames:<\/p>\n
Victor Olofsson has proven to be a great value, being the return in the Nazem Kadri to the Colorado Avalanche trade. Olofsson has put up three points in the last four games and is always a threat to produce more. Matvei Gridin has also taken advantage of a promotion with the Calgary Flames forward core being heavily injured, with names like Jonathan Huberdeau, Connor Zary, and Samuel Honzek out of the lineup. Gridin has put up five points in the last six games and looks to continue a four-game point streak.<\/p>\n
