(Image Credit: Metro Vancouver Transit Police)<\/p>\n<p>By Alyssa Conti<\/p>\n<p>Last Stop<\/p>\n<p>\n\t\t\t\tMar 28, 2026 | 8:06 AM\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n<p>SURREY \u2014 One man has been taken into custody after bringing a loaded gun and no transit fare to the Gateway SkyTrain station earlier this week.<\/p>\n<p>On Monday (Mar. 23), just after 10 a.m., Metro Vancouver Transit Police officers were checking passengers for fares in the station\u2019s fare paid zone when they watched a man try to follow another passenger through the gates without any proof of payment.<\/p>\n<p>Transit Police then discovered that the man had several outstanding warrants, as well as a loaded handgun and ammunition.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIn policing, routine tasks can have dramatic outcomes.
