On Saturday, the Philadelphia Phillies<\/a> will host the Texas Rangers<\/a> at Citizens Bank Park.<\/p>\n

They are coming off a 5-3 victory over the Rangers (on Opening Day).<\/p>\n

Before Saturday\u2019s game, the Phillies announced that they had made a roster move.<\/p>\n

Todd Zolecki of MLB.com wrote:<\/a> \u201cThe Phillies announced that Garrett Stubbs has cleared waivers and has been outrighted to Triple-A Lehigh Valley. Stubbs could have elected free agency, but he signed a split contract in the offseason that will pay him $575,000 in the Minors.\u201d<\/p>\n

Stubbs has been with the Phillies for the last four years.<\/p>\n

He is coming off a season where he appeared in five games.<\/p>\n

Stubbs was picked in the eighth round of the 2015 MLB<\/a> Draft.<\/p>\n

He has played seven years for the Houston Astros<\/a> (and Phillies).<\/p>\n

Over 197 games, the 32-year-old is batting .215 with seven home runs, 45 RBI\u2019s, 65 runs and ten stolen bases.<\/p>\n
