<\/p>\n STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. (March 28, 2026) \u2013 The Stonehill College men’s tennis team earned a 4-3 victory over NEC opponent Wagner College Saturday night at the CSI Tennis Courts. With the win, the Skyhawks improved to 4-9 overall and 1-3 in conference play, while the Seahawks dropped to 8-7 overall and 2-1 in league action.<\/p>\n After Jacob Borch-Nielsen<\/a> and Nicolas Arredondo<\/a> fell 6-4 to Lukas Escher and Eddie Schmidt on the No. 1 doubles court, Stonehill rallied to secure the doubles point. Guillermo Bennaton<\/a> and Javier Gutierrez<\/a> defeated Sebastian Dobson and Tom Lamers 6-3 at No. 2 doubles, followed by Hector Cebrian<\/a> and Alessandro Munoz<\/a> overcoming Pablo Rodriguez Gonzalez and Kunsh Moolchandani 6-3 at No. 3 doubles.<\/p>\n Wagner jumped out to a 2-1 lead in singles, taking the first two matches as Schmidt and Escher won at No. 1 and No. 2 singles. Stonehill answered as Benjamin Beaudry<\/a> defeated Lamers 6-4, 2-6, 6-3 at No. 3 singles.
