\n\tKim Novak<\/a> is voicing her concerns about Scandalous! <\/p>\n

\n\tIn a recent interview with The Times of London<\/a>, Novak slammed Sydney Sweeney<\/a>\u2018s casting as her in the upcoming film, following the Vertigo actress\u2019 relationship with Sammy Davis Jr.<\/a> in the 1950s. Colman Domingo<\/a> is set to direct, marking his directorial debut. David Jonsson<\/a> will portray Davis.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cI would never have approved,\u201d Novak said of Sweeney portraying her, adding that the Euphoria actress \u201csticks out so much above the waist.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tThe publication noted that Novak\u2019s criticism stems from her concern that the film will focus on the sexual side of their relationship rather than the fact that they had \u201cso much in common.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cThere\u2019s no way it wouldn\u2019t be a sexual relationship because Sydney Sweeney looks sexy all the time,\u201d Novak continued. \u201cShe was totally wrong to play me.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tReps for Sweeney did not respond to The Hollywood Reporter\u2019s request for comment at the time of publication.<\/p>\n

\n\tLast year, Sweeney spoke with THR\u2019s<\/a> executive editor of awards, Scott Feinberg, on his Awards Chatter podcast about bringing Domingo on board. The pair previously co-starred on Euphoria, and Sweeney also serves as a producer on Scandalous!<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cWhen I was putting the package together, we were circling different directors. There was one previously attached and I just felt like the story really needed to have a different voice,\u201d she said. \u201cThe entire time I was like the only person who would really be able to tell this story and to the degree that it needs to be beautifully told is Colman Domingo.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tThe Anyone but You star continued, \u201cSo I called him up and I was like, \u2018Hey, I don\u2019t know if you even want to direct, but there\u2019s a script that I\u2019d really love to send you. And if you like it, it\u2019s yours. If not, I won\u2019t be offended,’\u201d she said. \u201cHe read it within like a few hours and he called me back and he was like, \u2018This is exactly what I\u2019ve been telling my team I want to find.\u2019 We\u2019ve been putting it together and raising financing \u2014 it\u2019s been a labor of love.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tWhen asked if she\u2019s met Novak, Sweeney didn\u2019t answer directly but noted: \u201cColman and her have a really beautiful relationship. They\u2019ve been talking.
