UFC Seattle <\/a>went down last night (Sat., March 28, 2026) inside Climate Pledge Arena in Seattle, Washington, which saw Joe Pyfer upset Israel Adesanya thanks to a huge second-round technical knockout (TKO) finish (see it again here<\/a>). In the co-main event, Alexa Grasso stopped Maycee Barber in the very first round with a wild knockout-submission hybrid finish that had fight fans going crazy (see it again here<\/a>).<\/p>\n

Biggest Winner: Alexa Grasso<\/p>\n

In what is without a doubt the finish of the year so far<\/a>, Grasso delivered one of the best highlight-reel stoppages<\/a> that will be replayed for years to come. After an intense opening to the first round, Grasso tagged Barber with a straight left hand down the pipe that dropped \u201cThe Future.\u201d But before Barber could figure out what happened Grasso violently grabbed a hold of her neck and strangled her for a few seconds before the referee mercifully stepped in to put an end to the fight. The finish was ultimately ruled a knockout win for Grasso, which netted her a cool $100,000 post-fight bonus award <\/a>and a much-needed victory after losing her last two. And just like that, Grasso is right back in the championship mix.<\/p>\n

Pyfer came in with bad intentions in what was the biggest fight of his career and delivered<\/a>. Not only did he secure a big TKO win over a former champion in Adesanya, but he showed heart and determination because he was losing the fight for the most part, and his legs were getting tenderized by \u201cThe Last Stylebender\u2019s\u201d painful kicks. Undeterred, \u201cBodybagz\u201d kept it cool and finished the job when it mattered. He will now take a huge leap in the rankings and get a Top 5 spot come next week, putting him within arms reach of a title shot.<\/p>\n

Honorable Mentions: Lerryan Douglas and Michael Chiesa<\/p>\n

Douglas had himself an impressive debut to say the least, dominating longtime UFC veteran, Julian Erosa, en route to securing a bloody and violent first-round knockout win (video replay here<\/a>). After the win \u2014 which netted him a cool $25,000 in bonus cash<\/a> \u2014 Douglas was all the buzz online and from the UFC commentators, who hailed him as a future star for the promotion. As for Chiesa, he was able to secure his fairy tale ending as he submitted Niko Price in the very first round to end his combat career on an impressive four-fight win streak (see it here<\/a>). It truly was a great ending for one of the good guys in MMA.<\/p>\n

Biggest Loser (s): Israel Adesanya and Maycee Barber<\/p>\n

These come as no surprise. Adesanya was hoping to snap his three-fight losing streak and finally get back into the win column for the first time in a long time by taking out No. 14 ranked<\/a> Pyfer. But it was not to be as \u201cBodybagz\u201d flipped the script and turned the tides on a fight he was losing by stopping him in round two. That is now four straight losses for \u201cThe Last Stylebender,\u201d which leaves him at a crossroads in a combat career that once saw him as the future of the promotion. As for Barber, she came in riding high with seven straight wins with her last loss coming at the hands of Grasso \u2014 ironically enough \u2014 back in early 2021. Another win would have likely secured her a title shot, but it was not to be as she once again suffered a big loss at the hands of the Mexican-born former champion, who has proven to be her kryptonite. It was a scary loss for Barber, who had to lay on the canvas for a while before she came back to her senses. She will now go back to the drawing board and attempt to start another run toward a title shot, though this loss will sting for a very long time.<\/p>\n
