His cousin&#8217;s name is Charles McAdoo.<\/p>\n<p>Charles currently plays for Triple-A Buffalo, which means he&#8217;s just one rung away from the major leagues.<\/p>\n<p><a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/PatWGR\/status\/2038302703336526182?s=20\" rel=\"nofollow\">WGR radio broadcaster Pat Malacaro<\/a> shared the fun tidbit on X on Sunday.<\/p>\n<p>He also shared a clip of Charles ripping a double:<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">&#8220;TWO FOR MCADOO&#8221; &#8211;<a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/PatWGR?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">@PatWGR<\/a> <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/HdeyLQf1tZ\" rel=\"nofollow\">pic.twitter.com\/HdeyLQf1tZ<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Buffalo Bisons (@BuffaloBisons) <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/BuffaloBisons\/status\/2038301746825449607?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">March 29, 2026<\/a><\/p>\n<p>MORE:\u00a0<a target=\"\" href=\"https:\/\/www.sportingnews.com\/ca\/mlb\/new-york-yankees\/news\/yankees-break-franchise-record-set-1908-new-york-highlanders\/ba0d3597eb0e161c0a08b637\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Yankees break franchise record set by 1908 New York Highlanders<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Charles is a 24-year old who can play second base, third base and right field.<\/p>\n<p>He was originally a 13th-round pick by the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sportingnews.com\/ca\/mlb\/pittsburgh-pirates\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Pittsburgh Pirates<\/a> in the 2023 MLB Draft out of San Jose State.<\/p>\n<p>McAdoo did get 34 plate appearances for the Blue Jays during Spring Training &#8212; he had six hits in 31 at bats (.194 average) with two doubles, a home run and a steal.<\/p>\n<p>He played at Double-A New Hampshire for all of last season and hit .247 with 24 doubles, 16 homers and 34 steals.<\/p>\n<p>He&#8217;ll have some work to do to earn a call-up, but he&#8217;s not far away.<\/p>\n<p>And if he makes it, it&#8217;d be another McAdoo at the top level of professional sports.<\/p>\n<p>More MLB news:<\/p>\n<p>                            <script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"The Toronto Blue Jays have Bob McAdoo&#8217;s cousin in their organization.
