It is not known how long the two have been together before deciding to tie the knot.<\/p>\n<p>The 26-year-old Stastney must have acted quickly after the victory, as Stark posted photos of the moment on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/mattystark_\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">her Instagram<\/a> not long after the game.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cDid a thing,\u201d Stark captioned the post.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/dailyhive.com\/oilers-spencer-stastney-getting-married\/statsney-oilers-enagaged2\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-2256891 nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\"><img alt=\"Statsney-Oilers-enagaged2\" title=\"\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"1080\" height=\"1440\" decoding=\"async\" data-nimg=\"1\" class=\"size-full wp-image-2256891\" style=\"color:transparent\"   src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/Statsney-Oilers-enagaged2.jpg\"\/><\/a><\/p>\n<p id=\"caption-attachment-2256891\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">@mattystark_\/Instagram<\/p>\n<p>Eddie, the couple\u2019s dog, also made an appearance in the announcement photos. There has been no indication of when the wedding is expected to take place.<\/p>\n<p>Stastney pulled out all the stops to make the moment special for both of them, as he presented Stark with a beautiful emerald-cut engagement ring. It is certainly a sight to behold, and a fitting ring for the occasion.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/dailyhive.com\/oilers-spencer-stastney-getting-married\/statsney-oilers-enagaged3\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-2256892 nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\"><img alt=\"statsney-Oilers-enagaged3\" title=\"\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"1080\" height=\"1440\" decoding=\"async\" data-nimg=\"1\" class=\"size-full wp-image-2256892\" style=\"color:transparent\"   src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/statsney-Oilers-enagaged3.jpg\"\/><\/a><\/p>\n<p id=\"caption-attachment-2256892\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">@mattystark_\/Instagram<\/p>\n<p>Surprisingly, Stastney is the first Oilers player to get engaged this season after a few busy years in the wedding department for the team. <a href=\"https:\/\/dailyhive.com\/edmonton\/mcdavid-wedding-photos-lauren-oilers\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Captain Connor McDavid tied the knot<\/a> with his wife Lauren back in the summer of 2024, while <a href=\"https:\/\/dailyhive.com\/vancouver\/everyone-sharing-draisaitl-wedding-photos\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Leon Draisaitl followed suit this past summer<\/a> with a wedding of his own.<\/p>\n<p>Oilers forward<a href=\"https:\/\/dailyhive.com\/edmonton\/edmonton-oilers-kapanen-married\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\"> Kasperi Kapanen also got married<\/a> this past summer, and the couple <a href=\"https:\/\/dailyhive.com\/edmonton\/oilers-kapanen-baby-boy\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">welcomed their first child<\/a> back in February.<\/p>\n<p>Stastney is one of the newer members of the Oilers organization, having been <a href=\"https:\/\/dailyhive.com\/edmonton\/edmonton-oilers-friday-morning-trades\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">acquired from the Nashville Predators in a trade<\/a> back in December.
