I thought I was supporting causes against human trafficking and for veterans.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>TLC singer Rozonda \u201cChilli\u201d Thomas (seen above in a video shared Saturday) clarified that she wasn\u2019t a supporter of President Trump after she donated to his campaign. therealchilli\/Instagram<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI WANT TO BE CLEAR: I am not MAGA and do not support any of the many policies that are causing great harm to the American people,\u201d the hitmaker wrote via an Instagram statement Saturday. therealchilli\/Instagram<\/p>\n<p>Thomas, 55, stated that she loves children and cares deeply about her dad, who is a veteran.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI have learned a valuable lesson and ask for grace as I navigate this,\u201d she concluded, signing off, \u201cLove, Chilli \ud83d\udc95.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Thomas previously donated to MAGA-aligned organizations during Trump\u2019s 2024 presidential campaign, per records <a href=\"https:\/\/www.independent.co.uk\/news\/world\/americas\/us-politics\/tlc-chilli-trump-donations-b2947668.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">obtained by the Independent<\/a>. <\/p>\n<p>Thomas stated that she \u201cdid not read the fine print\u201d when she donated to Trump\u2019s campaign. Getty Images<\/p>\n<p>Per the records, the donations included $210.60 to WinRed, a Republican party fundraising platform, $486.54\u00a0to Never Surrender Inc., which is associated with Trump, and $340.60 towards the Trump National Committee JFC.<\/p>\n<p>Additionally, the \u201cCreep\u201d singer shared a separate video, stating that she has the \u201cutmost respect for Obama\u201d after allegedly<a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/PragObots\/status\/2033608577240227962\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\"> resharing a conspiracy video <\/a>about the former first lady\u2019s gender. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cI would never say or do anything that is disrespectful to her or to any woman,\u201d Thomas added.<\/p>\n<p>Thomas also addressed the bizarre video she reposted about Michelle Obama (seen here in 2019). AP<\/p>\n<p>Several people defended the hitmaker, with one commenting that they often repost content by accident, saying, \u201cThis happens to me all the time! Instagram needs to remove that repost button.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI mistakenly reposted things plenty of times.
