Five Guys to open first Vancouver Island location in Greater Victoria<\/p>\n

Burger fans in Greater Victoria won\u2019t have to travel far for Five Guys much longer, as the chain prepares to open its first Vancouver Island location in Colwood.<\/p>\n
News of the opening spread quickly on social media after a site plan for Royal Bay\u2019s Arbutus Landing commercial development showed the U.S.-based chain as one of its future tenants.<\/p>\n
Over the weekend of March 28-29, many shared their excitement online, including Colwood Coun. Ian Ward.<\/p>\n
\u201cPerhaps the worst kept secret, but finally we can say it\u2019s confirmed that Royal Bay in the City of Colwood will be home to Vancouver Island\u2019s first Five Guys location,\u201d he said in a Facebook post.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
The restaurant will be one of 73 Five Guys locations in Canada and more than 1,700 worldwide, across 29 countries.<\/p>\n
