THE\u00a0Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT) has taken over conduct of a homicide investigation in Surrey.<\/p>\n

At approximately 6:40 p.m. on Saturday, March 28, Surrey Police Service (SPS) officers responded to reports of shots fired in the 15100-block of 60 Avenue. Members located a man apparently suffering from gunshot wounds. BCEHS attended the scene however despite life-saving efforts the man was subsequently pronounced deceased at the scene.<\/p>\n

IHIT has now taken over the investigation and are working in partnership with SPS to complete priority investigative tasks.<\/p>\n
