\n Wins over Hungary’s Sara Szanyi, Finnish fighter, Krista Kovalainen, and another home competitor, Viktoria Matesz, two of which were by stoppage, to set up a final with Rebeka Dobos.\n<\/p>\n
\n Niamh, who is from Rosyth, had all the answers against her Hungarian opponent, winning by unanimous decision, to complete a highly successful tournament.\n<\/p>\n
\n Her club coach, James White, was elated with her victory, which comes ahead of this summer’s Commonwealth Games in Glasgow – which will feature boxing.\n<\/p>\n
\n “She’s doing well just now,” he said.\n<\/p>\n
\n “She’s won that well, four fights in four days – there wasn’t even a day (off) in between, so it was a busy schedule. Plus, she had three gym fights the week before at the training camp, so that’s like seven fights in that period that she was away.\n<\/p>\n
\n “That tournament there, she was outstanding. Especially the semi-final, it’s probably the best three rounds that any boxer I’ve ever had, in 15 years, has put together.\n<\/p>\n
\n “She was punch perfect in the semi-final.\n<\/p>\n
\n “The quarter-final (opponent), she was on 97 fights, and she was coming down from a higher weight. She was a tough one, but Niamh stopped her. It was just constant.\n<\/p>\n

\n “Niamh’s backhand was just constantly catching her all the time, but, in the semi-final, it was as good as I’ve ever seen her.\n<\/p>\n
\n “She couldn’t have boxed much better, to honest with you. There’s always improvements to make, but it was punch perfect I thought.\n<\/p>\n
\n “When she gets into that rhythm, it’s very difficult to beat her.”\n<\/p>\n
\n Also in 2025, Niamh narrowly exited an historic World Boxing Championships<\/a> event in Liverpool, the first elite world championships organised by World Boxing, and the first global event to feature men’s and women’s events simultaneously.\n<\/p>\n
